About Us

Celeste Sassine is the proud owner and head baker of vegan bakery Sassy Sweet Vegan Treats LLC established in 2018. She loves Jesus and is a wife, mother of two beautiful children, an entrepreneur, as well as an American Sign Language ( ASL) teacher and swim instructor. Celeste is a vegan herself and delights in aweing local Queens patrons with a variety of delicious vegan desserts. As a self taught baker Celeste prides herself in providing New York healthy homemade products that are not only baked with love but taste AMAZING!!

The Sassines, Jean-Andre, Celeste and their children Jean Jr & Cheyenne. Celeste began her vegan journey in 2017. She always had a sweet tooth and couldn’t find any cookies that tasted good, they were either too hard, crumbly, overpriced or too sweet. Through trial and error these cookies were created. Later, Cheyenne wanted to attend a church missions trip that was $1700. We sold our cookies and paid for the trip in 2 weeks! AMEN! We continued to sell more cookies to help another child attend. Then folks said we should share them with the WORLD!
